Expansion of Ignite and Equip
For several years, the Equip and Ignite cohorts have been fruitful, collaborative partnerships between North Park Theological Seminary (NPTS) and the Midwest and Pacific Southwest Conferences. These cohorts enable staff pastors and lay leaders at local Covenant churches to complete an affordable seminary degree with a consistent community of learners, developing mission friends to sustain lifelong ministry.
Students can study through the Equip cohort (hosted by the Midwest Conference) or the Ignite cohort (hosted by the Pacific Southwest Conference). These cohorts welcome students from any conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church to earn their degree as part of the Equip or Ignite pathway.
Cohort students receive a 50% tuition discount from North Park and additional financial assistance through the partnership of sponsoring churches and their ECC conference. A hallmark of these pathways is the in-person learning experiences each fall and summer. Cohorts come together for meals, worship, learning, and life together.
This unique funding model significantly reduces tuition, which is made possible through the friendships and partnerships within the Covenant.
